Lately, we’ve noticed several instances where the word home has come up. Some TV commercials talk about protecting your home – not your house. Even at church a slide came up on a big screen that mentioned being at home in church. Also, we’ve been listening to music lately as we drive to work.

With September now upon us, thoughts have transitioned from swimsuits and summer to sweaters and school days. With school comes learning the usual subjects, including, what we often referred to phonetically as the “3 R’s” – reading, writing and arithmetic. Many other subjects are taught, of course.

What does renaissance mean to you? Well, I (Lynn) must admit that last weekend I was not looking forward to a renaissance, or a Renaissance Festival! I was looking forward to a rest!
